Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a seasoned fashion expert with a deep-rooted passion for uncovering the magic where luxury meets everyday style.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and collaborating with some of the most visionary designers in the world. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting high-caliber craftsmanship, fresh concepts, and enduring style. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a vintage-inspired edge with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, https://goldsneakers.org/forty2-black-star.html and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m answering a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as where you can find them on sale, in the sections below! Where did you score your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book
What’s the going rate?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
How comfy are they?
They required minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also look great.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
What’s the cost?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their regular price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their design features.
Do they fit as expected?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
